September News
From the Principals Office
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR CAMPERS AND THEIR FAMILIES FOR A GREAT AND, FUN FILLED SUMMER. We wish all our campers a succesful school year.
We would like to welcome all our children and their families to the new 2010-2011 school year. The first day of school is an exciting milestone in your child's life. We will take your children on a journey that will lead them on many roads of discovery. Our hallways once again are filled with singing, and laughter. Our children are having lots of fun getting messy while gluing and painting. Playground time is a very important part of the day; this is when our children will meet new and old friends; and will continue learning through play.
Hold the date, Wednesday, September 22 for our annual "ICE CREAM SOCIAL". Hours: 6 - 7:30 pm. We will have a very special visitor during the event. This is a fun family event, our Scholastic Book Fair will be open for business. Remember that gift giving season is fast approching. See you there!
Remember to label all of your child's belongings. If your child has any special dietary needs due to allergies or other, please inform the office and your classroom teacher.
Thank you again for trusting your most precious treasure, your children to us. We will nurture and help them blossom throughout the school year.
BCDS has some new faces among it's staff; please help us welcome Ms. Diana Zapata, Ms. Ashely Bryant, Ms. Trish Cristina, and Ms. Tameka. They are very excited to be part of the BCDS family and are looking forward to meeting all our families.
Congratulations to Ms. Brittany and her husband Nick on their recent wedding.
Wishing all a happy and fun school year!
If you would like to share something special with your child's class, please contact your child's teachers. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to get to know your child's teachers and friends.

Our goal at Bethesda Country Day School is to provide your children with a caring, nurturing and rich environment.
Drop Off begins at 8:30 a.m. on the side parking lot, please take advantage of this, due to parking constraints. All students arriving past 9:15 a.m. must be dropped off at the front desk. This is to avoid any disruptions once we have started our day. Our Aftercare Program begins at 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. There will be a late fee charge of $1.00 per minute. If your child is going to be picked up by a friend or relative, please make sure to send a signed note to school.

Staff Appreciation Mail
This fun program provides the opportunity for our families to recognize BCDS employees daily and write them a note acknowledging them for treating our customers well. When you "catch" an employee doing something that we should recognize, please take the opportunity to make them feel special and send them a special note.
